Patricia “Ms. Triche” Sylvester
Dance and Fitness Professional
Patricia Sylvester aka Miss Triche has been teaching dance and fitness for 27 years. This former basketball player transitioned to dance training when her aspirations for playing professional basketball took a back seat to other interests.
The first fitness class she taught was due to member support at Golds gym. Without any knowledge the members signed a petition for her to teach a weekly hip hop class and from there it was a blossoming career initially teaching dance then transitioning to teaching fitness classes. Her career has included teaching at numerous gyms, dance studios, grades K-8, High School and the collegiate level. Patricia career has included training competitive dance teams, artist (athlete and dancer) development, coaching some professional athletes and working with NPC and IFBB competitors.
In 2002 Patricia started teaching dance and physical education on the collegiate level. Patricia served as an adjunct professor for 11 years at Portland State University. During this time, she developed her passion and skills for dance/fitness into a small business which allowed her to teach boot camps, host workshops and master classes, train small groups, provide one on one training, mentor new trainers, provide life style and nutrition coaching, and partner with several organizations to assist with community outreach.
Currently Patricia runs her own production company N.O.L.A Entertainment LLC. As the artistic director she directs shows and creates entertainment events. “Inspired Fitness with Triche” is her fitness division and “Live 2 Groove Productions” is the dance division. The two divisions promote dance and fitness to all ages and fitness levels.
Her greatest fitness accomplishment includes being an NPC body building competitor and winning two titles at age 40; Miss Oregon Novice Heavy Weight Champion 2008, Miss Washington Open Heavy Weight Champion 2008. She also took 3rd place at the 2008 NW Body Building Championships.
Known for her motivational and inspiring fitness applications; Patricia has transformed many fitness enthusiasts for the better. “It is all about life style change not a quick fix.” Patricia has an intrinsic approach to fitness. She believes everyone has an inner dancer and athlete.
